Design Specifications
Initial specification development between AirBorn and Partner. During this phase we complete the specifications, statement of work, software specifications and interface documents. From here, our design team will begin drafting preliminary concepts which advance to the next stage.

Development & Design Review
In this phase our engineers calculate topology, electrical requirements, FEA, software pseudo code and flow charts.
• 2D and 3D mechanical models are developed and reviewed
• Mechanical models realized via 3D printing and reviewed
• Schematic capture, new part creation, layout and analysis reviewed weekly
• Detailed results reviewed with partner and action item lists compounded
• PCB Layouts ensue

First Piece Build
Everything starts coming together as the first piece is manufactured. Our rapid prototyping capabilities, aided by 3D printing and a team of manufacturing engineers accelarates this process:
• PCBA Testing and Debugging
• Machined/metal parts fabricated
• Physical buildup to test for interference, BOM accuracy and proper model
to realization

Testing & Qualification
Testing & Test Readiness Review Begins
• Baseline testing for fit, form, and function
• Documented results shared with partner
• Review of test data and identification of any open gaps, deviations or
change requests
• Partner review of qualification plans and processes
• Qualification of frozen design at internal AirBorn ISO-17025 labs and
external approved labs
• Subcontractor deliverables compiled and reviewed with partner

Manufacturing & Launch
Pending full qualifcation, the frozen design is released into AirBorn's configuration management platform.
• Engineering follows builds through kitting all the way to
shipping to ensure seamless flow
• AirBorn delivers documentation, reports and other soft
deliverables per SOW

Support
Due to the complexity of these applications, AirBorn offers exceptional field support to debug the most complex of integration issues as well as supports obsolescence issues on long running platforms.
AirBorn also reviews manufacturing steps as part of our standard continious improvement process. Efficiencies and enhancements will be noted and communicated to customer as necessary.
